Lucy M. Williams-Abrego

Managing Attorney

Lucy joins Z.A lawyers as a polished managing attorney equipped to support all clients through the litigation process of the worker’s compensation system.  As part of this role, Lucy has been able to put in place a team of staff and attorneys who are engaged, motivated, and strive for continuous improvement in providing the most effective litigation support to our clients. Their problem-solving abilities, strong work ethic, and resourcefulness have resulted in significant efficiencies and better performance while building trusting and effective relationships in the industry. As managing attorney, Lucy ultimately strives to foster an environment that not only aids all applicants in their pursuit of support for their injuries, but is invested in effectively growing her team.

Prior to this position, Lucy worked as a Division Supervising Attorney with Farmers Insurance with oversight of civil litigation and workers’ compensation practice groups in California. As a firm, she managed approximately 3000 civil lawsuits and 2000 workers’ compensation claims with unique legal and procedural issues involving moderate to severe injuries and/or damages. She had the honor of leading a tremendous team of managers, supervisors, attorneys, and staff who provided exceptional representation while delivering peace of mind to her claims partners and clients in every case. With this experience, Lucy brings fresh ideas, determination and partnership to ZA Lawyers.

Additionally, Lucy’s experience as Assistant Public Defender, Deputy Human Resources Director, Trial attorney, and hearing representative provides her with a broader perspective and deeper understanding of how important advocacy is in the legal field. Lucy’s ability to build rapport and guide her clients through very difficult times in their lives is an especially important pillar of her work at Z.A Lawyers.

In addition to the work she so thoroughly enjoys, Lucy spends as much time as possible with her adult children and husband, while breathing cherry blossoms in her orchard in the Flathead Valley of Montana.
